In a quiet cave in Scotland, a king once watched a spider weave.
Defeated in battle, hunted and exiled, Robert the Bruce , my twentieth grandfather sat in the shadows of uncertainty. As legend tells, he watched a small spider spin its delicate web. Again and again the spider failed. Again and again it began anew. Finally, with persistence and patience, the web was finished, fragile in appearance, yet strong enough to endure.
From that moment came the motto:
